It’s also the month the Presbyterian Church in Canada celebrates “Heritage Sunday” when we acknowledge our heritage as Christians and Presbyterians. With that in mind, our movie feature this month is a fun play on history as we host another Sunday Night at the Movies on Sunday, February 18 at 6:30 p.m. and present “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian”. It’s a wild ride as historic figures from the past come to life. Suitable for all ages.
Coldest Night of the Year
Once again, St. Mark’s has a team in the Coldest Night of the Year walk-a-thon in support of Harvest House Ministries. The walk takes place on Saturday, February 24 @ 5:00 p.m. Join the team or, if you’re not able to walk, sponsor the team by going to CNOY.org and follow the links to Charlottetown and to the St. Mark’s team. Help us make a difference for those who need it the most!

Join us as we welcome a team from Teen Challenge to our morning service and they share stories of the miracle of God’s grace in their lives.
On Wednesday, November 23 beginning at 7:00 p.m., a Visitation Team from the Congregational Life Committee of Presbytery will visit St. Mark’s and St. Columba. Members and adherents of both congregations are invited and encouraged to attend this visitation which will be held at St. Mark’s.

Christmas Mission & Outreach Project
Help us light the tree! For every $20 raised for our Christmas Mission Project, the children will light a tree on the Mission Christmas Tree! It’s our opportunity to give help to those in the community who need help at Christmas. We’re also packing food hampers for the food bank. Service of Hope/ Blue Christmas Service
Join us on Thursday, December 15 @ 7:00 p.m. for our annual Service of Hope. For many, Christmas marks a difficult anniversary of a loss or heightens the sense of loneliness they feel. For others, the hectic pace of the Christmas season is overwhelming and they just want some peace. Our Service of Hope is a way we stop in the midst of the season and allow ourselves to be blessed by the peace of God as we reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.

Led by members of the Women’s Association this is a special service of readings and carols as we prepare to celebrate Christmas.
A fellowship time follows in the Church Hall after the service.
Thursday, December 10 @ 7:00 p.m. Service of Hope / Blue Christmas
Christmas can be a difficult time of year for many people, especially if they are missing a loved one or Christmas marks a difficult anniversary of loss. It can also be a time of stress as people feel compelled to be “happy” even when they’re not. Come join us for a Service of Hope as we light candles in memory of loved ones and hear words of comfort and peace.
